Schon 2 Wochen - already 2 weeks

Stellt Euch vor - heute hats geschneit! Und zu all dem weissen Zeug da draussen ist mein Bruder auch noch ordentlich verschnupft. Da er mich am liebsten ganz eng an sich drückt und mit mir schmust, hoffe ich mal das ich mich nicht anstecke. Aber angeblich beschützt mich das Stillen ja davor krank zu werden.

Am Dienstag hatte ich meinen 2 Wochen Checkup bei Dr. Hott. Angeblich bin ich 94 % in Länge und 71 % in Gewicht von allen Kindern meines Alters, d.h. ich bin überdurchschnittlich gross. Das ist doch interessant. Mein Geburtsgewicht habe ich schon um fast 300 Gramm übertroffen und somit habe ich bereits bewiesen das ich ganz gut futtern kann. Ansonsten war die Frau Doktor ganz zufrieden mit mir. Ich hab auch fleissig mitgemacht bei ihren Tests. Am Schluss bin ich noch in die Ferse gepickst worden (schon das zweite Mal, diese Blutsauger). Das mochte ich nicht so besonders.

Gestern waren meine Eltern ausgegangen und Oma Carola hat auf Timmy und mich aufgepasst. Wir waren ganz brav. Nur Timmy war es nicht so ganz geheuer, das sie ohne ihn weggefahren sind. Er hat wohl noch ein leichtes Trauma von dem Tag an dem ich geboren wurde. Vielleicht denkt er nun, jedenfalls mal wenn sie ohne ihn wegfahren, kommen sie erst am nächsten Tag am Abend wieder und bringen ein neues Geschwisterchen mit nach Hause. Eines reicht ihm wahrscheinlich erstmal.

Heute ist meine Oma Carola wieder nach Hause geflogen. Sie hat mir mein allererstes Fläschchen gegeben und immer ganz viel mit mir gekuschelt. Das war prima. Da war immer jemand da auf dessen Bauch ich einschlafen konnte. Hoffentlich klappt das auch noch, wenn Mama nun alleine mit uns ist. Wir werden Oma sehr vermissen.

My brother caught a cold, now my parents are a little worried he will spread it and I get sick too because he likes to cuddle me all the time, but our Doctor said they don't have to worry. Usually breastfed newborns don't get sick easily.

At my 2 weeks checkup I got measured at 94 percentile in height and 71 percentile in weight. I grew a lot the last couple of days. I also gained back my birth weight and some more on top of that.

Also this week my parents went out and my brother and I stayed home with my Grandma. My brother was a little whiny about that. Grandma had to explain that they only went to a restaurant and will be back soon. I think, he feared they went and will come back with another baby each time they go out without him now. I think, he thinks one little sister is enough. But he was fine as soon as they came home.

Today my Grandma flew home to Germany. We all were very sad about that. She gave me my first bottle, cuddled my a lot, played with Tim and helped Mama. We will miss her.
